Annual Client Counseling Competition
Begins November 9, 2009
- 2 students per team to act as co-counsel
- Must dress in professional attire
- Teams must provide own client and timekeeper
- Each competition round will last 30 minutes
- It is encouraged that students be creative in bringing or using props that would be appropriate in a law firm setting.
The Client Counseling Competition simulates a law office consultation in which law students, acting as attorneys, are presented with a client matter. They conduct an interview with a person playing the role of the client and then explain how they would proceed further in the hypothetical situation. Each team, consisting of 2 attorneys and a client, will be competing to represent TMSL at the regional competition and for prize money.
